My Virgo Boss

My boss is a Virgo. Why would this even be worth noting? Well, the other day she approached me at the coffee pot and asked me for “personal” advice. Funny how these things are. There was no one else she trusted to ask about this particular topic.

It wasn't like we were close. I was a junior manager under her, not someone she heavily leaned on. But I was dependable and she knew she could trust me to keep my mouth shut about what she was asking. Since she was always so picky about stuff - it made me feel kind of special.

The reward was perhaps not a zodiac predicted standard. Sometimes, being the boss doesn't make life perfect. This was when I realized she seemed to expect more of herself then she expected of us. However, I have felt positive since that conversation, having met the individual who was talked about by others at work. Actually she was so real.

I feel like I gained much more than a step up with my career, if there was one at all. I gained a friend and real friends are priceless.
